How to search your saved Instagram Reels
Saved Reels are on your profile, under ☰ → Saved. Instagram sorts everything by collection, but it doesn't search what was said in the videos: to find a specific Reel, combine the collection, the creator and what you remember of the scene.
Step by step
- On Instagram, tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
- Tap the menu ☰, at the top, and then Saved.
- Open the collection for the subject, or the list with all items, and scroll until you recognize the cover.
How to find things faster in Saved
Saved doesn't have its own search: you find the Reel by scrolling the list. These clues shorten the way.
- Start with the collection. If you set up “Recipes” or “Travel”, the list drops from hundreds to dozens of items.
- Remember the creator? Open their profile and look in the Reels tab. It's usually faster than scrolling through Saved.
- Remember a detail? Search the detail plus the subject in Instagram search, like “oat pancakes without a blender”. It searches all of Instagram, so check that the result really is the video you saved.
Not in Saved?
Maybe you liked it instead of saving it. Likes are in ☰ → Your activity → Likes. If you only watched it, look in your Reels watch history, following the guide to find a video you saw.
If the Reel is from many months ago, follow the walkthrough to find an old saved Reel.
When you only remember what was said
Saved keeps the Reel's link, not what it teaches. If all you remember is a line from the video, no collection will help. See how to find a Reel by what was said.
From now on, give your collections names based on how you'll use them, like “Quick dinner” or “Trip to Recife”. The guide to organizing saved Reels shows how to do it without sorting everything at once.
