How to organize the workout videos you save

Organize videos by equipment and goal, like “Resistance band at home” or “Stretching before running”, and note the detail that made you save each one. Questions about form or load are for whoever supervises your training.

Step by step

  1. Create collections by equipment and goal: “Resistance band at home”, “Stretching before running”.
  2. On each saved video, note the detail that made you save it: hand position, breathing, number of sets.
  3. Take questions about form and load to whoever supervises your training.

A “Chest” collection hides what matters

You saved that video because it used dumbbells at home, didn't need a bench or showed a grip adjustment. The collection's generic name doesn't keep that. A short note does: “hand position on the dumbbell bench press”.

Choose a few collections that make sense for your routine. Splitting by muscle, equipment and goal all at once is more trouble than it's worth.

Four kinds of workout videos

  • Demonstration: a movement you want to recognize.
  • Explanation: the why behind a technique.
  • Question: something to ask your trainer.
  • Routine: sequences from the plan someone already put together for you.

An edited video may cut parts of the explanation. Before you do the exercise, check with whoever supervises you.

The video's workout, in a list

In KeepScroll, the workout video becomes a list of exercises you check off while you train, without pausing and rewinding the video at every set. If the key point was in what the instructor said, the transcript keeps it. The app organizes what's in the video; it doesn't judge whether the exercise is right for you.

If what stuck with you was something the instructor said, see how to find a video by what was said. To bring together the demo Reel and the long explanation video, see how to bring together videos from multiple networks.
