How to organize saved videos on Facebook
In Saved, tap New collection and create a few collections named for how you'll use them, like “Sunday recipes.” To move an item, tap the three dots next to it, then Add to collection.
Step by step
- Open ☰ → Saved and tap New collection.
- Give it a name for how you'll use it, like “Sunday recipes” or “Kitchen remodel.”
- To move a video, tap the three dots next to it, then Add to collection.
Names that help you decide
“Remodel — lighting” says what the video is for. “Cool videos” says nothing. If you save recipes, separate the ones you'll make from the ones that are just inspiration.
Start with one or two collections for what you're using now. You don't need to go through the whole list first.
Be careful with shared collections
Facebook lets you invite people to a collection. Before you do, remember that a video from a private group stays private: anyone who isn't in the group won't be able to open it. Test the link with the person before counting on it.
The note a collection doesn't keep
In a video about custom furniture, what matters might be a measurement, a material or a question for the carpenter. A collection doesn't keep that; a note does. If the measurement doesn't appear in the video, write down the question instead of estimating it from the image.
