How to organize Pins, boards and sections
Create one board per project, like “Living room — renovation”, and use sections to compare options within it: lighting, flooring, furniture. When you save a Pin, choose the section right away.
Step by step
- Create one board per project, like “Living room — renovation”.
- Inside it, create sections to compare options: lighting, flooring, furniture.
- When you save a Pin, choose the section right away and write in the description why you added it.
One criterion per level
Pick one way to divide things and stick with it: by element (lighting, flooring), by room (living room, kitchen) or by stage (explore, compare, decided). Mixing criteria on the same level makes the board tree hard to navigate.
You don't need to reorganize your whole profile. Start with the board for the project you're working on now.
Inspiration and decision are different stages
An image can catch your eye for its color and show a piece of furniture that doesn't fit your space. A “To check” section separates what you want to buy from what's just visual reference. Check measurements, material and price on the original site, not in the photo.
When the project ends
Archive the board instead of deleting it: it leaves the main list and stays saved. For recipes, keep the ingredients and instructions outside the image; the Pin alone doesn't include the measurements. See how to organize saved recipes.
