How to organize what you save on Reddit
On Reddit, Saved is a single list, with no folders. To organize it, sort by project or question and keep, for each discussion, the link to the comment that helped and one line saying why.
Step by step
- Pick the question or project: “which keyboard to buy”, “Japan itinerary”.
- For each useful discussion, keep the link to the comment that helped, not just the post's.
- Write one line of context: who the tip is for and what still needs checking.
The top-voted answer isn't your answer
A Reddit discussion brings together experiences from people in very different situations. The comment with the most votes may describe a case that isn't yours. When you save it, note under what conditions the tip worked.
Example: in a discussion about a to-do app, one comment praises it for individual use and another criticizes it for team use. Saving both as “recommended app” erases the difference you need.
A four-line template
- Question: what you want to solve.
- Excerpt: the link to the post or comment that helps.
- Condition: the situation the experience applies to.
- Source: the manual, study or official page cited, if any.
Once the question is settled, write down what you decided and which links backed the decision.
Different sources, different roles
A LinkedIn post presents the idea, the Reddit discussion raises the objections and the official documentation explains how it works. In KeepScroll, all three sit under the same subject, and the chat answers with the source of each piece of information, so you know where each part came from.
Start with the posts you've already saved on Reddit. For work material, also see how to organize what you save on LinkedIn.
